About the Artist

I grew up in Buffalo, NY and still reside here with my husband and our three children. Much of my inspiration for my paintings comes from lazy summertime days on Lake Erie, snowy winter days that accent our houses in a powdery white coating and now more and more, the places I’ve traveled.

As a family we have shared some wonderful adventures and have spent a good deal of time visiting the Caribbean Islands by sailboat. We have sailed The Spanish Virgin Islands, US Virgin Islands, British Virgin Islands, as well as a some of the Windward and Leeward Islands such as Bequia, Mustique, Dominica, Ile de Saintes, St Kitts, Antigua, St Barths, Montserrat, and Saba...although Tortola in the British Virgin Islands is definitely “home” to us when we are down there.

This has given me a lot of ideas for my nautical paintings including the use of charts and maps as background images.
